As I thought to myself: Will life always be this messy? I heard God whisper "Interlude." So I searched for understanding.
An Interlude is defined as an intervening or interruptive period, space or event; interval. Any intermediate performance or entertainment between the acts of a play. A musical composition inserted between the parts of a longer composition.
- Intervene - to occur or lie between two things, points of time or events. To interfere with the outcome as to prevent harm or improve functioning.
- Interrupt - to break the uniformity or continuity of.
- Interval - a space of time between events or states.
In an interlude season, what some may call the "in between" - things are indeed wobbly, uneven and obtuse. I am being contorted, I am being distorted, but I know it won't last long.
I am out of shape yet still in my truest form.
It's ghetto here but there's growth here. It's uncomfortable here, but there is relief on the other side.
New hope is coming.Fresh wind is coming.
Healing is coming.Safety is coming.Financial stability is coming.
Interlude. The in-between. The necessary intervention. The silent disruptor.
That's where I am. That's where I've been put. Intentionally.
It's not a pause so keep going. Draw back the curtain. Change the set. Change your clothes and get ready for Act 2. It's just as exciting. It's just as rich and enticing.
Yet there are new characters. New directions and new plot twists. There's much to see, experience and do... on the other side of the interlude.
So get ready for the transitions. Get ready for the season. Take comfort and build.
